The DHI Method
The DHI Method
The DHI technique (Direct Hair Implant) consists of extracting the hair roots one by one with the help of a particular device called Micro Motor
The extraction step begins by anesthetizing the donor area with local anesthesia, and the hair in the donor area will be shortened to a length of 1 mm.
These steps are followed by the actual process of extracting the hair roots, one by one with the help of the Micro Motor.
Up to this point, the DHI technique presents the same stages as the FUE technique. After this stage, the hair roots (grafts) extracted from the donor areas (the back of the head or other areas) are implanted directly in the problem areas.
The DHI technique does not present the stage of opening the channels of the implant area. This method offers a faster recovery and a lower risk of infection. Hair follicles are implanted quickly and painlessly. An advantage of the DHI method is that it does not require a manual dexterity of the team of doctors as advanced as the FUE technique.
The positive aspects of the DHI technique
Has a low risk of infection;.
The area where the implant is made must not be shaved;
Does not require advanced dexterity from the medical team.
Negative aspects of the DHI technique
The implant process takes longer;
The implant must be made with a broader team of professionals;
It has a higher cost;
The intensive implant process is more complicated.
